A nail or screw in the tread doesn’t always mean a new tyre. Many punctures can be repaired safely and legally – and a repair costs a fraction of a replacement. The problem is that driving to a garage on a damaged tyre risks turning a repairable puncture into a ruined one. That’s exactly what our mobile service solves: from our base in Polmadie (G42), we come to wherever your car is, inspect the damage, and carry out a proper repair on-site. Honest advice is the whole point – we repair when we safely can, and only recommend replacement when we genuinely must.

Why Repair Rather Than Replace

Far cheaper than a new tyre

A proper repair costs a fraction of a replacement. Where the damage qualifies, repairing keeps a good tyre in use and keeps your bill down.

We diagnose the real cause

A weekly slow leak is often a valve or rim-seal fault, not a nail. We find the actual source rather than guessing, so the problem does not come straight back.

Repaired to standard

We repair within the British Standard for tyre repair, which keeps the tyre safe and road legal. If it falls outside those rules, we will not bodge it.

On your driveway or the roadside

No garage visit and no waiting room. Send us a photo of the damage on WhatsApp and we will bring what we need to you.

What We Repair, and What We Cannot

Nails, screws and tread punctures

The classic puncture is a nail or screw in the central tread. Where the object sits in the repairable zone and the tyre has not been driven flat, this is usually a straightforward on-site repair. We remove the object, inspect the inside of the tyre for hidden damage, and repair it properly rather than relying on an external plug.

Slow punctures and mystery leaks

A tyre that needs topping up every week is trying to tell you something. Often there is no nail at all. The usual culprits are a corroded or perished valve, a poor bead seal between the tyre and the wheel rim, or alloy corrosion on the rim itself. We diagnose which it is and fix the actual fault, which is work your old mobile tyre fitting visit might not have covered.

Valves, rim seals and TPMS

Valves perish with age and are a common cause of slow leaks, especially on older cars. On alloys, corrosion around the rim can break the seal and let air out slowly. We replace valves, clean and reseal beads, and check that any tyre pressure monitoring sensor is reading correctly before we leave.

Damage we cannot repair

Some damage cannot be repaired safely or legally, and we will always be straight with you about it. Sidewall damage, a bulge or split, a puncture in the shoulder, or any tyre that has been driven on while flat all mean replacement rather than repair. In those cases we can carry out a tyre replacement on the spot instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can every puncture be repaired?

No. Only punctures in the central tread area, within a certain size, on a tyre that has not been driven flat, can be repaired safely and legally under the British Standard. Sidewall or shoulder damage cannot be repaired and needs a replacement. We inspect first and tell you honestly which applies.
Usually a perished valve, a poor seal between the tyre and the wheel rim, or alloy corrosion on the rim. These slow leaks are common and often missed. We diagnose the real cause on site and fix that, rather than simply reinflating the tyre.
Our mobile puncture repair starts from £45, carried out at your home, work or the roadside with no call-out fee. That is a fraction of the cost of a new tyre, which is why it is always worth having the tyre inspected before assuming it needs replacing.
In most cases no. A run-flat that has been driven on after losing pressure has usually suffered internal damage and cannot be safely repaired. We will inspect it, but be prepared that a replacement is often the safe answer with run-flats.
No. We come to you. Send a photo of the damage on WhatsApp along with your location, and we will bring the equipment to inspect and repair the tyre where the car is parked.
